YANKEE GAS TO HIGHLIGHT NATURAL GAS COOLING AND DISTRIBUTED GENERATION TECHNOLOGIES AT CONNECTICUT XPO 2005
Sandy St. Pierre
BERLIN, CONN., May 31, 2005
—Yankee Gas representatives will be showcasing natural gas cooling and distributed generation (DG) technologies at Connecticut XPO 2005 for Business on June 2. The expo is being held at the New Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Natural gas is a clean, versatile fuel that can be used to power space conditioning systems, manufacturing processes and even generate electricity. Yankee Gas representatives will be on site to talk about natural gas-fired absorption and engine-driven cooling, technologies that are reliable, energy-efficient options to reduce summer electric load, reducing charges. Distributed generation (DG) is a form of cogeneration using small-scale on-site power generation. For sites with high electric and hot water demand, DG is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly method of power generation.
Yankee Gas will have energy experts at its booth who can provide information about the value of natural gas and gas technologies and financing options that will help you get that new equipment installed in time for the upcoming cooling season.
