BERLIN, Connecticut – November 6, 2006 – Workshops on saving energy and basic budgeting as well as the opportunity to work out payment arrangements for Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P) and Yankee Gas bills are among the many programs being offered as CTE, Inc., CL&P and Yankee Gas present "Energy Day," Wednesday, November 15 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CTE Gymnasium (34 Woodland Avenue, Stamford).
CL&P and Yankee Gas representatives will be available to enroll eligible customers in programs which will help reduce or eliminate past-due balances. Attendees will be able to sign up for energy assistance and weatherization services and participate in two workshops - "How to Save Energy" and "Basic Money Management." Both will be held at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
"This is all about reaching out to our customers who may be challenged by the increasing cost of energy," said John Burns, director of Southern Division Operations for CL&P and Yankee Gas. "It is a tremendous opportunity to take advantage of a wide variety of programs and services at one time and in one location."

As an added bonus, free weatherization materials will be distributed and discounted energy efficient light bulbs and lamps will be on sale, while supplies last.
