WMECo Schedules Aerial Inspections of Western Mass Transmission Lines


Springfield, Mass. (September 5, 2014) – WMECo is planning to perform an aerial patrol on the Western Mass transmission lines on Monday September 8, 2014 and Tuesday September 9, 2014. Any adverse flying conditions will require rescheduling.

Purpose of flyover: Aerial patrol of transmission lines for vegetation issues.

Dates and towns included: Monday September 8, 2014 and Tuesday September 9, 2014

Listed below are the towns that will be covered during that time:

Northfield, Erving, Wendell, Warwick, Montague, Greenfield, Leverett, Shutesbury, Pelham, Amherst, Granby, Chicopee, West Springfield, Springfield, Belchertown, Ludlow, Wibraham, Hampden, East Longmeadow, Longmeadow, Agawam, Westfield, Shelburne, Conway, Ashfield,
