MANCHESTER, N.H. – Feb. 17, 2010 – Public Service of New Hampshire is pleased to honor the three recipients of The Corporate Fund’s 2009 Walter J. Dunfey Nonprofit Management Awards with additional contributions of $2,500 each. As recipients of the Dunfey Nonprofit Management Award, Granite State Independent Living, The Student Conservation Association, and the Partnership for Successful Living have each demonstrated outstanding management skills within the nonprofit sector.

"2009 was a challenging year for every industry, but nonprofits were hit particularly hard," said Paulette Faggiano, PSNH's communications and public affairs manager. "Each of these organizations displayed considerable talent in 2009; and PSNH recognizes their exemplary service to New Hampshire."

The Corporate Fund announced the winners of the 2009 Dunfey Nonprofit Management Awards on September 18, 2009. As winners, each of the three organizations received $3,500. Walter J. Dunfey was a noted New Hampshire businessman and philanthropist, who took the lead in establishing the Corporate Fund. He recognized that management in the nonprofit sector is among the most demanding and most important work in our society.
