BERLIN, Conn. (April 29, 2013)After spending weeks on the road, water and railway a new piece of electrical equipment will finish its journey from Nurnberg, Germany, to a Connecticut Light & Power facility in Wallingford.

The final five-mile leg of the trans-Atlantic trip will happen Tuesday night, making its way from the railroad in Durham to CL&P’s electric switching station in Wallingford. The new equipment, a shunt reactor, is similar in size to a large garden shed and weighs more than 260-thousand pounds.
