BERLIN, Conn. – October 24, 2011 –– Local social service providers from hospitals, senior centers, town governments, local assistance programs and religious organizations are invited to attend the final 2011 Social Agency Forum on Energy, Wednesday, October 26, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry Street in Plantsville.
Sponsored by Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P) and Yankee Gas, the forum will provide social service agencies, community-based organizations and public officials with updated information about utility payment plans, services and assistance, including the CL&P and Yankee Gas Matching Payment Programs, credit practices, energy assistance, educational programs, and weatherization programs.

The Social Agency Forum offers utility companies and social services staff an opportunity to strengthen and build relationships to better serve and represent limited- and fixed-income utility customers.
