To better meet the needs of these business customers, CL&P and Yankee Gas have launched a new Business Center at the companies’ Call Center in Windsor, Connecticut. Staffed by a team of highly trained customer service representatives and account executives, the Business Center provides customized, proactive service to meet these customers’ unique energy needs.
“The energy needed to power a business can be a hundred times the amount it takes to power a home, so the needs of our business customers truly are different than the needs of our residential customers,” said Penni Conner, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer of Northeast Utilities, parent company of CL&P and Yankee Gas. “We’re excited about this new service delivery approach and the opportunity for our team to really make a difference for all of our business customers.”
The Business Center will focus on small- and medium-sized business customers, who comprise the vast majority of CL&P and Yankee Gas commercial accounts. The Business Center is designed to be a valuable resource to help customers manage costs, use energy more efficiently and make it easier to do business with the companies. Customers will receive customized service, including helpful and timely information on power quality and reliability, energy efficiency programs and services, competitive energy supplier offerings, planned and unplanned service interruptions and more. The Business Center will complement and support the CL&P and Yankee Gas Strategic and National Accounts team that serves the companies’ largest business customers.
