Improvements enhance reliability in Southwest Connecticut

This project is part of a long-term plan to improve electric reliability to the power grid that serves the growing needs of Stamford and surrounding area.

“The Stamford Reliability Cable Project continues CL&P’s strong track record of making targeted investments to improve our system,” said Dwayne Basler, Vice President of Transmission Projects, Engineering & Maintenance for Northeast Utilities, parent company of CL&P. “These investments ensure reliable, cost-effective energy for our customers and support the continued economic growth in southwest Connecticut.”

The Stamford Reliability Cable Project is part of a series of upgrades to CL&P’s electric system in the Stamford and surrounding area. Together these projects will improve reliability of service and meet the growing customer demand for power.
